Manual Method
- To use the AC1200 Wifi extender, simply connect it in and turn it on.
- On the Netgear AC1200 Extender Setup, wait for the power indicator to turn solid green.
- Now connect to Netgear ext with any of your wifi devices.
- On your device, the Netgear Extender Setup screen will display.
- Create a Netgear WiFi Extender Setup login account and connect it to your home network.
NOTE: When using the AC1200 new extender, keep the extender at least 2-3 feet away from the primary router.
Setup instructions for the Netgear AC1200: ( W.P.S )
- Wait for the green light to come on after plugging the Netgear AC1200 into an electrical socket.
- The green light on the extension will blink if you press the W.P.S button on your AC1200.
- Push the W.P.S button on your wireless router or modem within 1–2 minutes.
- As a result, the extender is now in sync with your primary router.
- When the green light on your extension stops blinking.
- Your Ac1200 wireless extender will have three green LEDs.
- The Ac1200 has now been linked to the wireless network at home.
New Firmware Test for Netgear AC1200 Setup
To check any new firmware for the Netgear AC1200, a user must first log in to the extender’s settings page. The following are step-by-step instructions for logging into the Mywifiext Setup page:
- On your laptop or desktop computer that is linked to your AC1200, open any web browser.
- In the address box of your respective browser, type www.mywifiext.net or www.mywifiext.com.
- A screen with the login and password for the AC1200 will display.
- Log in to your account on the extender.
- Now select Advanced > Settings > Administration from the drop-down menu.
- Select the firmware upgrade option from the Administration menu.
- Now select Check Online from the drop-down menu.

WPS Push Button Setup for Netgear AC1200 WiFi Range Extender
