Joseph Budden attended DeWitt Clinton High School where he started rapping in 1999 after being inspired by The Notorious B.I.G.’s hit single “Juicy”. His first big break came when he signed with Universal Records in 2001 and released his debut album “Mood Muzik” the following year. He continued to release 3 more albums with Universal before signing with Amalgam Digital in 2008 where he released two more albums, one of which went gold.
